Bookbox opening

Yesterday afternoon my mum (Julie Robins) and her long time partner Frank Cook opened their Bookbox in Semaphore.  They trade a formidable and quality selection of second hand books, and their $2 pulp fiction section at the back is camp as a row of tents.  The opening itself was a great affair – lots of family and friends mingled amongst the hoards of curious patrons buying up big and getting the fifth incarnation of the Bookbox legacy off to a very promising start.  Maureen Cook gave a lovely speech and it was really nice to see some of our family friends from Normanville/Yankalilla who made it all the way up here for the occassion.

If you are in the area, I suggest you stop by – they do coffee and biscuits  too!
