Field recording via a little jar

I’ve progressed somewhat from the condom/glass jar combo that I’ve been using to make conditioned field recordings.  There had to be a more practical solution than using misshapen contraceptives as a cover.  Such as a lid.

So I bought a little glass jar from the Chinatown supermarket the other day and punched a hole in the lid to allow the microphone lead to poke through.  The finished apparatus works a treat.  Nice resonances.

I’m catalouging these recording for a future (semi-defined) project, so once more recordings in other locations are accumulated I’ll post them.
